THE VILLAGE DESIGN STATEMENT

Compiled by a local volunteer steering group, in consultation with village residents and other interested parties, this document was approved as an Interim Planning Statement 

by the City of York Planning Committee on October 23rd 2008

Its purpose is to guide and influence future development so that 

the character and distinctiveness of the village are protected and enhanced.

The Village Design Statement is recognised as being 

of 

Material Consideration in the planning process.
